The Children's Room by Laura Elkins

During the 1980 and 90s the focus of my work was domestic life – I married, had children and painted the experience. That work culminated in a project in Louisiana titled Why There Are No Great Women Artists: The Children’s Room, that integrates art, architecture, and landscape, and where I first developed the concept of private home/public art.
